Road Warrior transaction news

Atlanticleaguebaseball.com reported that Road Warrior players are now subject to a claims process taking place every other Friday. A team can claim one person and so far teams have inquired about a starting pitcher, infielder, and catcher. The webiste also reported that the Warriors have acquired SP Charlie Hesseltine.

Simply looking at the stats you can somewhat get a feel of the players being claimed. Starting pitcher Carlos Castillo has had a good year with 5 wins and a 3.68 ERA. Pitching is always a necessity, so it wouldn't be a big surprise if Castillo falls victim to this process. The infielder is most likely 1B Vito Chiaravalloti or SS Gabe Suarez, both were Northern All Stars. The catcher likely to fall victim to claim, is C Sandy Aracena. Aracena is in his second year with the Road Warriors, and what a year it has been for him. Aracena leads the team in hitting at .299 with 2 HRs and 13 RBIs.
