Road Warriors best pitcher heads to Taiwan
SP Carlos Castillo, a former major league pitcher for the White Sox and Red Sox, has signed with the Taiwan Baseball League. Castillo is now one of a handful of AL pitchers to head over to Taiwan this season. Castillo led the Road Warriors with a 8-9 record in 20 starts this season. At the time of his departure, Castillo led the league with a 3.34 ERA in 121.1 innings pitched. Castillo's vacancy in the rotation will be a big hole and might have to be filled by a reliever. A healthy Chris Flinn, who has been on the DL since May, could be a solution. Flinn made the opening day start in Lancaster before being scratched from a start due to a elbow injury. Flinn played last year at AAA Durham, so he could fill the spot of an ace, for the remaining month and a half.
