Former Road Warrior catcher Robinson Cancel made it back to the Major Leagues with the New York Mets. Cancel is the first of two Road Warrior alum to do so, LHP Alberto Castillo was called up into the Baltimore Orioles bullpen this season as well. With this, Castillo completes a long road to the show that began with his fleeing from Cuba and originally being drafted as a first baseman in 1994. Since then Castillo made the transition to pitcher and, played 7 years in independent ball and sat out for 2 years. Good luck to all former Road Warriors.
