Return of the Road Warriors

After a 3 year absence, the Road Warriors will be back in the Atlantic League in 2011. After the announcement of the Newark Bears leaving the ALPB for the Can-Am League, this seemed like the most likely solution for next season. Sure enough the Road Warriors are on the 2011 schedule and take Newark's spot in the Freedom Division. The league will go back to the 126 game season, starting on April 29th, with the Road Warriors in Lancaster and will wrap things up on September 18th in Lancaster.

With the Atlantic League looking to expand into Northern Virginia with the Loudon Hounds in 2012 as well as a franchise in Sugar Land, TX, this could be the only season in the 3rd edition of the Road Warriors; but we've all heard that before.

I am assumuing the Atlantic League is doing 126 games this season that way it doesn't booger up the finances of the teams, but still have the same amount of home games because of the addition of the Road Warriors
